Introduction:
The PCM training aims to support good management practices and effective decision making throughout the project management cycle – from programming, through to identification, formulation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. The course aims to promote consistency and clarity of approach, while allowing for the operational flexibility required of a dynamic and diverse external assistance programme.
The course aims to strengthen the capacities of the teams carrying out any other humanitarian programmes/projects to assess, plan, implement, monitor and evaluate any results-driven interventions. It provides tools to analyze problems and stakeholders, define objectives, determine activities and monitor interventions based on the populations needs.
PCM provides an overall analytical and decision making framework, which must nevertheless be complemented by the application of other specific ‘technical’ and ‘process’ tools.
